A deep passion for Sardinia and particularly Gallura, brought the founders Renato and Angela to pursue this fantastic dream of realizing a world class wine and promoting the beauty and richness of the Gallura granite mountains and soils to the world. After much sacrifice and very hard work, the couple has come to create Jankara, like a rare jewel of Sardegna!
This area iis a cradle of the Vermentino grape and this wine comes from a vineyard next to Lake Liscia with a special micro-climate that allows to harvest the grapes in mid to late September which is around 1 month later than most Vermentinos in the area. Great balance between acidity, alcohol, and fruit with extremely rich, intense aromas of white flowers and almonds, along with complex tropical nuances that pleasingly linger on the palate.
