Baricci is a small family producer on the north side of Montalcino, exactly on the cru hill of Montesoli. The Bariccis make beautiful and straightfoward wines, all of organic grown Sangiovese-grapes from the family's own vineyards. The wines are made in the family stone house in a small cellar, and in recent years their wines' excellence have stood out even to important Italian wine press giving them several awards to be proud of.
The Rosso is made by intentionally declassified Brunello grapes. This is the second selection best suited for a lighter wine that is well-suited for earlier drinking (not intending for breakfast, but rather early as in not necessarily aged!).
